Rab Phantom Grip Glove
The Phantom Grip Glove is possibly the most versatile glove I have used. This glove is very similar to a standard power stretch glove, except this glove is very wind resistant. Because of this I find myself using them the majority of the time when I am out in colder conditions. The silicon grip on the palm keeps ice tools secure in hand, or adds security while firing up the stove.
The wind pro fabric is not windproof, but provides a good balance of wind resistance and breathability. There are few things I hate more than clammy hands, but I never had that problem with these gloves. These are great for warmer weather climbs or can be used as part of a system with a mitt or shell glove.
I found myself using these gloves throughout most of the year. They always came with me for cool weather in early spring or late fall backpacking trips. They really take the edge off those early morning starts when just a little insulation is needed. If wet these dry really fast when thrown in a sleeping bag at night. I never leave home without these.
The fit is true to size, and a close fit is best for these gloves. They have four way stretch so I recommend getting a smaller size for a better fit. If you are in need for a durable and wind resistant multi-purpose glove, look no further. Rating:
