Rab Generator Jacket Review
The Rab Generator Jacket is an intelligently designed, lightly insulated, higher performance jacket. This is one of the lightest synthetic insulated jackets on the market. The shell and lining are made from Pertex Quantum, a ripstop nylon that sheds light precipitation, breathes well, and dries quickly. The insulation is Primaloft 1, which allows for good compression, yet rebounds well after being packed in the bottom of your pack.
The Rab Generator Jacket takes a minimalist design approach, but is smart with the features it has. The cut allows for good arm articulation, and the longer sleeves keep your arms covered even with overhead movements. The jacket has a drop tail. The Rab Generator Jacket includes two hand-warming pockets, but does not include zippers on them as that would add weight. Instead, the jacket has a breast pocket with a zipper. The jacket compresses down into its own pocket, eliminating the need to carry an additional stuff sack.
Bottom line, the Rab Generator Jacket is well thought out, high quality, high performance synthetic insulation jacket.
