GoLite Jam Backpack Review
posted: March 25, 2006
For a pack that weighs 23 ounces(size large), the GoLite Jam has great features and load carrying capacity. It may be the best $89 pack on the market for mountaineering.
The GoLite Jam has a narrow pack profile that allows for good balance and arm swing clearance. That is an important feature to look for when selecting a pack for technical mountaineering.
The climbing features include the ability to carry two tools with Velcro tool retention straps, a climbing rope, skis/poles, and a small daisy chain for hauling and additional tool attachment.

The GoLite Infinity Pack has excellent load transfer and comfort for minimum weight. The suspension and harness of the GoLite Infinity allow the user to comfortably carry at least 40 pounds (18 kg). The volume of the pack in size large is 3,250 cubic inches (53 Liters) and the weight is 41 ounces (1162 grams). Our review team found this to be a great pack for overnight backpacking, mountaineering, and multi-day backcountry winter outings.
