The Massif Central is a mountainous plateau located in Southeastern France. The Massif Central is the source of the Allier, Creuse and Loire rivers.

The Massif Central is approximately 85, 001 square kilometers (32,189 square miles) in size, and the highest point is Puy de Sancy at 1,885 meters (6,186 feet).
