The Caucasus Mountains are a mountain system in Eurasia between the Black and the Caspian sea in the Caucasus region.

The Caucasus Mountains are made up of two separate mountain systems, the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range and the Lesser Caucasus Mountains.

The Caucasus Mountain Range are volcanic mountains and have many peaks above 4,572 meters (15,000 feet).

The highest point (and the highest point in Europe) is located here; Mt. Elbrus at 5,633 meters (18,481 feet).
