The Cascade Range (Cascades) are a mountain range stretching from northeastern California across Oregon and Washington. It is a major mountain range of North America.
The Cascade Range includes both non-volcanic mountains like the rugged spires of the North Cascades, and the well known volcanoes known as the High Cascades.
Major peaks included Mount Hood, Mount Ranier and Mount St. Helens, with Mount Ranier the highest peak in the range at 4,392 meters (14,410 feet).
There are numerous climbs to do in the Cascade Range.
