Petzl Hammer for Quark Ice Axe

Petzl Hammer for Quark Ice Axe

Price: $47.95 at 2 stores.
Average Rating: 5 out of 5

Moosejaw

The Hammer by Petzl is for use with the Petzl Quark and Ergo ice axes. This ice axe hammer features a low profile trapezoidal shape that is great for wedging in cracks when climbing, and the angle of the contact surface coordinates perfectly with the curvature of the Quark's shaft. Don't stick your tongue to a cold metal surface outdoors, it may get stuck there. If this happens, simply cup your hands over the area and blow warm breath onto the metal until you can safely remove your tongue. I've heard that works.

Features:

  • 3-year guarantee

Keep this spare or replacement hammer for the Quark Ice Axe by Petzl around for the days your hammer gets extra use. The extra-strength design will give you many seasons of use on the snow.

Glad to finally get that adze off!

What can I say? I smacked myself in the face one too many times with that old adze, though thankfully, no stitches. Finally decided to switch it out for the hammer=Happy face!
