Great superlightweight harness. Does exactly what you need and nothing you don't. Even if you don't like using ice clippers, you can still use a standard wire biner in the clipper slot.

Awesome lightweight harness

I was amazed at how small this harness packs down. It ships in a Black Diamond pouch the size of a softball. I tried it out recently on a canyoneering trip and was impressed by the comfort of something so small -- however I didn't spend the day hanging in it and swapped out my bigger harness for the day with more and longer rappels.

I would highly recommend this for ski mountaineering, glacier mountaineering, or for activities where you need a harness but won't be loading it all day.

My only minor complaint is the traditional buckle design has a second metal piece that makes backthreading more difficult.

small and lightweight yet durable

I've tried using this only for rock climbing. Its lightweight and small packing size makes it easy to fit in your already full pack. This is NOT padded though... so if you'r not using thick pants, falling on this could be a bit ***... Haven't tried falling on it though. But I'd go with it being unpadded as long as its lightweight and packable.
