Africa Mountain Climbing

Africa is the planet's 2nd largest continent. The Nile River, the world's longest, and the Sahara Desert, the world's largest are both in Africa.

Africa's highest point is Mt. Kilimanjaro at 5,895 meters (19,341 feet).

The second highest peak in Africa is Mount Kenya at 5,199 meters (17,058 feet).

The third highest peak is Mount Ruwenzori at 5,109 meters (16,761 feet).

Africa has several smaller, lower elevation mountain systems, but the major landforms are Kilimanjaro, and the Atlas Mountains with Kilimanjaro garnering the bulk of attention for Mountain Climbing since it is one of the Seven Summits.
